Be Aware - Avoid COVID-19 Cyber Scams

We are encouraging everyone to stay vigilant against scams related to the IRS stimulus payments, CARES Act and Coronavirus. Cybercriminals have begun to send emails or contact through social media with links to fraudulent websites, intended to trick victims into revealing sensitive information. If you suspect an incident, please take it seriously and report it to law enforcement.

Messages may appear to be educational promoting awareness and prevention tips or attempting to sell a bogus product for prevention or cure. Additionally, messages from cybercriminals may appear to come from charities seeking donations. Be cautious of emails, text message, social media posts or phone calls you receive requesting information; do not open links or attachments from sources unfamiliar to you; and never provide your personal or financial information. If you plan to make a donation, research the charity, never let them rush you into a donation, and do not send cash or gift cards, or wire the funds.

Workplace Procedures and Actions

We have a Pandemic Response Plan in place at Fulton Savings Bank. Among other things, this establishes contingency plans to maintain delivery of services during times of significant and sustained work absenteeism and establish partnership with other members of the financial community to provide mutual support and maintenance of essential services.

We have implemented social distancing in the workplace and are limiting face to face contact by using phone and messaging applications. We have instituted a work from home and alternate work locations or schedule policy.

We have provided alcohol-based hand sanitizers throughout the workplace and in common areas. Cleaning sprays and wipes are also provided to clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces such as telephones and keyboards.

We have requested extra diligence from our cleaning crews on cleaning doorknobs, door handles, railings, etc.
